The 10 Most Common Mistakes Business Owners Make
& How To Avoid Them
written by Kimberly Stevens
MISTAKE #5: Working Within Your Comfort Zone
Here's the bottom line .. the things with the really big
payoffs are outside of your comfort zone. That's it.
Every successful business owner out there has done
at least one if not a hundred things that were, at one
time, outside of their comfort zone. Perhaps you fear
approaching that big prospect, contacting other
businesses that have 'made it' to propose a joint venture,
speaking to a big audience, etc.
Fear comes with the territory when you're a business
owner. Fear is completely normal. But, the day you
choose to face that fear to do the thing that you fear
the most is the day that your business will start to take
off in a big way.
** SUCCESS SECRET ** Do the thing you fear the most

MISTAKE #6: Trying To Do It All By Yourself
With the exception of storefront businesses, many business
owners start off as sole proprietors trying to manage every
aspect of their business on their own. They figure if they
can do everything themselves and don't have to pay
someone else to do them, they'll make more money.
The problem with this mentality is that somewhere along
the way, your business will grow beyond your ability to
manage it in this way. It's fine to start off doing
everything yourself, but if you want to grow your business,
you will most likely reach a point where it will become
necessary to hand some of it off.
If you provide a service charging $50/hour, why not hire
a bookkeeper at $15/hour and use the time you would
have spent on bookkeeping to perform billable work?
Or if you aren't to the point of being able to generate
billable work for that hour, why not use it to focus on
making more sales and getting more clients?
Learning to delegate can be tough, but it will pay off
in profitability in the long haul. You can fill these needs
with interns, temporary workers, virtual assistants,
consultants, employees, or sub-contractors.
In addition to getting help with the administration of your
business, you'll progress much quicker with the aid of a
strategic partner. This is someone who can help you
create your big vision, establish realistic goals, hold you
accountable for taking actions, etc. This might be a
mentor, business coach, or advisory group of other
business owners you know.
** SUCCESS SECRET ** You have to get everything done,
but you don’t have to do everything.

profitability by creating an organizational
chart for your business - even if you're the
only one in it. For details, visit:

Here’s the full line-up of what’s to come -- stay tuned for
the next week where I’ll discuss #7 & #8.
** The 10 Most Common Mistakes Business Owners Make **
1. Trying to be everything to everyone
2. Chasing every idea you have
3. Focusing on revenues instead of profits
4. Selling what you want instead of what the market needs
5. Working within your comfort zone
6. Trying to do it all by yourself
7. Focusing on client acquisition instead of client retention
8. Having unrealistic expectations
9. Running your business by the seat of your pants
10. Managing your business one day at a time
Best wishes for continued success!

A professor stood before his class
of twenty senior organic biology students, about to hand out the
final exam.
"I want to say that it's been a pleasure teaching you this
semester. I know you've all worked extremely hard and many of you
are off to medical school after summer. So that no one gets their
GPA messed up because they might have been celebrating a bit too
much this week, anyone who would like to opt out of the final exam
today will receive a 'B' for the course."
There was much rejoicing in the class as students got up, walked
to the front of the class, and took the professor up on his offer.
As the last taker left the room, the professor looked out over the
handful of remaining students and asked, "Anyone else? This is
your last chance." One final student rose up and opted out of the
final.
The professor closed the door and took attendance of those
students remaining. "I'm glad to see you believe in yourself," he
said. "You all get 'A's." |

New! Easy Way to
Make Auto-Pilot Cash Income
I recently purchased
a
CBmall and wanted to tell you about this new opportunity and how
you can profit from it.
The
CBmall is an
ecommerce site filled with the most popular, best selling products
out of the over 40,000 products available through ClickBank. Jeff
Mulligan, the owner of this site, mentions it lists approximately
2000 best-selling products.
I am sure I am not
the only one who started off spending hours and hours trying to
promote the various affiliate programs on the Net, hoping to make
extra money. At one point, I was so overwhelmed of the sheer
numbers and trying to keep track of all of them. So much
time-consuming and not much return.
I checked out
CBmall and was truly impressed with its
possibilities.
There
are two unique aspects to the
CBmall that make it a compelling
investment:
1. As an owner, you
get a commission on every product within the mall.
2. The mall is
professionally maintained so you don't have to do ANY work other
than drive some traffic to it. No HTML, maintenance, coding,
answering emails, processing, etc.
This makes
CBmall
ideal as another income stream that requires minimal effort, other
than some traffic generation.
Check it out for yourself here!
